Full course description
Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm
Participants will learn the theory behind Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and how it correlates to school-wide behavioral expectations. The PBIS framework includes strategies to acknowledge appropriate behavior, consequence systems to limit the reward of problem behavior, classroom organization to establish regular routines, and data collection to guide resource selection. Teachers will walk away with examples of simple antecedent strategies, replacement behaviors, and meaningful consequence strategies to support classroom instruction.
